El Castell
 
"El Castell” is a house dating from 1650 which was built within an old wall of protection of the sixteenth century. 

Originally belonged to Guerau de Peguera, a political and military nominated in 1710 by King Charles III of Catalonia-Aragon as the first Marqués de Foix better known as Baron of Rocafort. In 1705 his son Antoni de Peguera i Aimeric defender of Catalonia, England signed the Pact of Genova against the interests of King Philip V of Spain. In 1881, the last heir of the Peguera left property to the Salesian. 

This house, now listed and known as "El Castell", was acquired in 1906 by individuals who conducted several excavations in order to locate the old army room of the fortress. It was never found, but left as a reminder that search a set of passages of archaeological and historical value in their basements. see the basement...
